How To Perform
- 1 Set both pulleys to about head height and attach single handles. Stand in the middle and hold a handle in each hand with arms out to the sides.
- 2 Keep your upper arms level with your shoulders and your palms facing up.
- 3 Curl both handles toward your head, bringing your hands toward your ears.
- 4 Squeeze, then straighten your arms again under control.
Form Cues
- ✓ Keep your upper arms still and level with your shoulders.
- ✓ Lead with the hands toward your ears; do not pull the elbows down.
- ✓ Stand upright and avoid leaning forward to start the rep.
Common Mistakes
- ✗ Letting the elbows drop below the shoulders, which weakens the position.
- ✗ Using momentum from the legs and torso.
- ✗ Going so heavy that the rep becomes a pull-down.
Progressive overload is the engine of muscle growth. Track your weights and aim to add small increments weekly. For High Cable Curl, this means gradually increasing load, volume (sets × reps), or decreasing rest periods over time.
